Tofu teriyaki with mayonnaise
The tofu is healthy food.It is food used frequently with the Japanese food.The teriyaki is one of the recipes to represent Japanese food.The mayonnaise is one of the seasonings which Japan is proud of.I cooked Tofu teriyaki with mayonnaise.It is popular recipe in Japan.
Ingredients
- 1 block firm tofu
- Chopped leeks, to your taste
- Flour, to your taste
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) salad oil
- 2 tbsp(30 ml) sugar
- 3 tbsp(45 ml) soy sauce
- 2 tbsp(30 ml) mirin(sweet sake)
- 1 tbsp(15 ml) sake
- Mayonnaise, to your taste
Directions
- Firmly wrap the tofu with a paper towel.Let the water drain out for 30 minutes.
- Cut the tofu into bite-size cubes.
- Cover in flour.
- Mix the soy sauce, sugar, mirin, sake(teriyaki sauce).
- Heat 1 tbsp(15 ml) of salad oil and brown the tofu on both sides.
- Add the teriyaki sauce and sauce it well onto the tofu.
- Place on a serving dish.Dress with mayonnaise.
- Sprinkle in the chopped leeks.
